Behind this heart-shaped resin piece is Nazli’s story. When she found out she’d been accepted into Rutgers, her sister gave her a bouquet. Nazli pressed and dried the petals and kept them for years, tucked away in a tiny glass bottle on her desk.

When Resinate launched in October, she brought those same petals to the workshop and turned them into something everlasting.“To most people, it’s just a heart with purple decoration,” she told the founder, Priya. “To me, it’s a reminder of how far I’ve come — from a prospective student to a nearly-graduated senior.”

She described her finished piece in one word: imperfect.
And honestly, that’s what makes it perfect.

Nazli’s creation captures the beautifully imperfect journey that has been her time at Rutgers. Thank you, Nazli Mohideen, for letting us share your story — and we hope it inspires others to see jewelry-making as something deeply meaningful.
